in my life. Thank you for spending some time with me here on my little ol' blog over the years :) I am thrilled that you are here.
Today starts my week playing along with Paper Crafts magazine. You can find my paper Crafts Connection blog post HERE
I will be hosting challenges here, all week long (through May 23) so I hope you will play along with me
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, my challenges will be colorful all week, no doubt about that!
Today's card was inspired by Kim Kesti's card seen HERE. She works green like no other IMHO. She recently announced that she is expecting a baby BOY...and green is a gimme boy color...perfect timing for this post!! Your challenge today if you choose to accept it is to create
with green...add white, cream, kraft...it's your choice, just make sure that green is the focus...other than that, the sky's the milit!
whoa...LIMIT :)
You can find the butterfly punch HERE
When you visit the PC Connection blog today, you will find a hand drawn, downloadable image (created by me)...just for fun! And, here's my card using it.
I
printed the image onto smooth white card stock and glittered each piece
with 5 different colors. All are Doodlebug colors except for the teal
which is by Art Glitter. Sentiment is by Papertrey Ink: Luck Of The Irish
I
would love, love, love to see what you do with this image, so here's
your second challenge for today...use it and share what you create with
us, k?
How about a give-away? I have 7 prizes up for grabs...because everyone knows that seven is supposed to be lucky, right? 3 Paper Crafts March/April 2010 issues and 4 prizes consisting of a sampling of the above shown ribbons and rainbow papers are up for grabs. The paper part didn't hit me until this post moment, but the papers WILL be super fun and cute, I promise.
I have an ultimate plan with each post and it will all make sense at
the end what I am up to. So, I hope you will pop in each day (except
for Sat/Sun) All challenges end on Midnight, Tuesday, March 23 and I
will post my winners on Wednesday the 24th. Just post a link to your
mini masterpieces here (on the corresponding blog post)Play along as many times as you like, the winners will be random. Challenging yourself is a wonderful thing
...and for goodness sakes, have FUN!
I have a new tutorial today that involves paper roses...in The CLASSroom
*FF During the eighteenth century, books that were considered offensive were sometimes punished by being whipped* (hold the phone...they hit the BOOK, like with a hand or like mashed potatoes?)
Happy St. Patty's Day!
Super cute image you drew, thanks for sharing it! ycj8z5

Here is my Green Card. Again, not my design, but one I made at Stampin'Up card club today. Love that the demo picked the right colors for me! LOL! I'll try to get a LO with the rainbow and a yellow card done tomorrow. Fun challenges, Kim! ~Bev~

Love the green!!!
Green is a color, the perception of which is evoked by light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 520–570 nanometres. In the subtractive color system, it is not a primary color, but is created out of a mixture of yellow and blue, or yellow and cyan; it is considered one of the additive primary colors.

It doesn't matter is the rainbow is on a poem, a cake , a draw in the wall, in our hair , in the sky or in any other place is always beautiful to see all those colors.
