20 years ago today, I lost my Mom to breast cancer. She was only 42 years old. I am sure that you can imagine how incredibly hard that was for all of us to go through. I miss her as much today as I did those many years ago. What a truly amazing woman she was. Strong, silly, determined, loving...goodness I could go on and on for days. She was SO loved by so many. She had the most infectious laugh and by my amazement, my daughter has it too. My Dad still tears up when he speaks of her lovingly. He has a framed 8 x 10, old black & white photo of her next to his bed...oh' my heart just breaks for him. Those of you who still have your Mom or Mother figure in your life, please call her and tell her how much you love & appreciate her...if you can give her a hug today, please do, ok? And those of you who have found your soul mate, like my parents did, please hold them tight!

Hi Kim... You mother sounds like she was such an amazing woman. :) I lost my mom to the same thing 13 years ago. It's one of the most terrible experiences ever, as you know. But, how lovely it is to see her in myself as I grow, and how awesome it feels to be able to spread the love she was so well known for when she was here, know what I mean? Keep her legacy alive. :) Sending hugs to you and your father!
