TINY MIRACLE

I used a Di Hickman sketch for this card also, along with my Baby Love stamp set.  Core'dinationc cardstock, Mc Gill scallop punch, Beaux Regards ribbon, Creative Impressions safety pin and Stazon ink.  Provo Craft decorative edged scissors created the botom border.

*Tip off-centering images adds more interest*

3-LOVE-IS-IN-THE-AIR

This is an all rub-ons card.  Fancy Pants and American Crafts rub-ons (7 were used) Making Memories paper and Jute...Clearsnap ink too

*Tip a dusting of chalk ink really adds to a vintage look*

*Tip 2 layer rub-ons to create a stamped look*

3-THANKS

Daisy Buckets (green polka dot) paper and dang it, I can't remember that buttery yellow paper...hope to add in later.  Sakura pen, Prima flower, Making Memories brad and ribbon and Tsukineko ink.  Thanks stamp is from Scripty Words stamp set

*Tip bend the red rubber stamp to accommodate a curve*

*FF 50 Cent calls his son 25 Cent* (what'll he call his grandson...12 and a half cent?)

MIA...

but here I am.  :)  Been busy with my family...and work, all good.  I have decided to make blog posts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through the summer and hope to pick it back up in the fall.  My time on the computer has been cut WAY back with my kids home from school.  I hope to post more than 1 project on those days, so I hope you will still stop by and see me each week.

This Monday's Challenge Chick Challenge is using Scented Embossing Powders.  If you don't have these wonderfully scented accents, then it's just a "heat challenge" for you.  They will be on sale at CHF for 2 weeks.  I used the Chocolate Brownie scent on my card:

3-YOU-WARM-MY-HEART

I used Bold Curls for the swirly pattern, Cardmakers Shapes for the solid postage stamp and HUgs & Kisses for the mug and sentiment.  Bo Bunny paper, Tsukineko and Clearsnap ink and Beaux Regards ribbon...topped off with that yummy smelling Chocolate brownie scent!

*Tip stamp a large surface to create a custom pattern and cut down the paper to create a frame for your main image*

OUT-FOR-PUB-SIGN-OCT-07

Here's a non-stampy card too :)  Teresa Collins polka dot paper, Making Memories decorative edged paper, Melissa Frances sticker, Prima flower and MAMBI bling.  (the center of that flower is not green IRL...the sheer flower threw my camera for a loop)

*Tip balance decorative edged papers if possible by placing 2 , facing away form each other*

*FF The oldest recorded age for a dog is 29 years* (I am no math genious, but that was one old pooch)

Have a fantastic week :)

I know...

suuper easy, right?

BUTTERFLY-KISSES

...but effective :)  Core'dinations cardstock, Making Memories sticker, Little Yellow Bicycle epoxy stickers, MAMBI bling and some Beaux Regards ribbon...that's it!

*Tip I am into embellished butterflies lately...those cute bodies need buttons or bling, I think so any ways)...so give them some added interest*

*FF Humans share about 50% of their DNA with bananas* (what does this say about us?)

Wish I could chat more today, but I have some deadlines.  Hope to see you tomorrow.  Thank you for stopping by :)

June 12, 2008

Hello :)

WSW...have you heard of this?  It stands for Worldwide Stamp Week and it's being held at Two Peas Stamping message board from June 14-21.  There are lots of challenges and fun things going on.  I will be hosting a Kiss Technique challenge and I will be popping in and out.  Join me?

Today is a release day for Mona Lisa Moments.  The set is called Big Inspiration.  The link will take you to the gallery for some inspiration using this wonderful stamps.

IMAGINE

I used the Big Inspiration stamp set along with Spanish Script Backgrounder and the tree from Making The Grade set, buttons by Autumn Leaves (the purple button matches perfectly IRL, but it's opaque and the camera make it look dark ack!), Basic Grey paper and Prismacolor colored pencils.

*Tip some rubber stamps have "play" in them where you can manipulate them...and bend them a bit...give it a try to an added touch*

*FF Only 10 people out of every 3 million in the world get the opportunity to see a volcanic eruption in their lifetime?* ( No thanks, I'll pass)

Time for another...

sketch to play with.

Jks-scraplayout-design-4

This was made for 12 x 12 pages, but I chose some small photos, so I created an 8.5 x 11 layout instead.  Please remember that sketches can be followed to a T or interpreted any way you wish...just have fun and PLAY!!  I'd love it if you would stop on over to the other CHF girls to see what they have created.  Not all of them will have layouts to share, but I know that I am never disappointed when I visit them. (total eye candy always)

NIAGARA-FALLS-1

I used a Beautiful stamp set from The Rummage Bin and a Houndstooth Scrapblock™ which are from CHF.  Cardstock by Core'dinations, Patterned paper by My Mind's Eye.  Sakura pen, American Crafts stickers, EK Success punches and Basic Grey solid paper.  Brilliance inks too :)

*Tip transform stark white stickers into custom made ones.  I inked them with a tan ink and then added a pattern by pressing a blue inked Houndstooth Scrapblock™ onto them*

*FF People in China and Japan die disproportionately on the 4th of each month because the words death and four sound alike, and they are represented by the same symbol* (now this has me scratching my head)

I plan to pop in later with some Mona Lisa Moments info. on the new release today...and a card too!  Life happened, so I will post tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy your day.

June 10, 2008

nothing new

today, but I remembered that tomorrow is another layout sketch challenge day at CHF.  So, I will have a layout (plus more) bright an early tomorrow morning.  Hope to "see" you :)

Monday's challenge izzzz

Glossy Paper  - care to play???

R-ATC

This is an ATC that I created on Glossy Paper along with Ranger Adirondack  ink and alcohol inks.  The "knocker" is from a CHF stamp set called Keys and Escutcheons (cool, aren't they?) I used a Sakura glitter pen to add detail.  The tree stamp is by Tim Holtz.

Please check out the other CHF designer links to the right to see what they have been up to (total eye candy people)

Ranger Glossy Cardstock...here is some useful information on this versitile product.  It is the product spotlight at CHF from May 30-June 13.

Happy Friday!!

BEST-WISHES-NEW-YEAR

Sentiment is from Birthday Centers stamp set, snowflakes are Basic Grey stamps, Scenic Route paper, Beaux Regards ribbon, MAMBI bling and Brilliance ink...based on Core'dinations cardstock which is called Argos (my favorite taupe)

*Tip when I have centers of anythig such as snowflakes and flowers, I love to stick bling in the centers..this finishes them off nicely*

Have you stopped on over to the CHF Message Board lately?  There are still a couple of challenges to participate in.  The last 2 are creating a projects using stamps with wings (butterflies, birds, owls, dragonflies...etc) and the last one is to create a project combining any Kim Hughes stamp with any CHF stamp, so of course the possibilities are endless.

Tomorrow I am posting some random winners of my newest stamp sets.  I am choosing from commenters that have posted within' the last 2 weeks.  I just love it when you leave me a comment.  :)

*Friday's Publishing Tip: I have heard that Editor's like thread or ribbon through your button holes.  Now, this isn't all Editor's of course, but it's a good thing to give your project that polished look...so no naked buttons if you can help it*

*FF The cruise liner Queen Elizabeth II, moves only six inches for each gallon of fuel that it burns*
