I hope you will join in on the fun that Paper Crafts has in store for you.
This is one of my cards that is found within the pages of this top notch special issue. (I think it's my most fav. Card Creations issue to date)
When I began working on this card I thought to myself..."self, what amI not seeing to much of in magazines?" and Lily Of The Valley appeared in my head (poof). They used to grow beside my childhood home, so they hold some history for me. I actually thought they were my birth flower, turns out, they are the birth flower of both my kids...cool. So, I drew and cut a flower bud that I thought looked like the delicate flower and traced the pattern that I had made onto the back of striped white textured Bazzill card stock...and cut 6 more. I just love the look of hand stitching, so I decided to stitch the stem (I drew it lightly with pencil, poked the holes, erased the lines and stitched with DMC floss). Some of the buds are popped up with Therm O Web foam squares. I thought Clearsnap chalk ink and Creative Impressions white silk ribbon would soften the look even more.
So, this is how the blog tour works...if you leave a comment here, you will have a chance to win a copy of this fabulous publication. I'd like to know what your birth flower is...if you don't know, you can use this link: Birth Month Flowers to find out. That's it!
You can leave a comment on the other 14 designer blogs that are playing along as well...they are giving an issue away too! Links are below.
Please also visit: the Paper Crafts blog and Moxie Fab World for even MORE chances to win! 10 prize packages are up for grabs, sweet friends ;)
I copied/pasted these links, so I hope they don't post wonky...can't check because I am leaving around 4am to attend my HS reunion in NY. I have preset the time, but not sure if it's MT or ET, (smackinghead) so if this is early, please be patient to begin playing...this blog tour starts at 6am Eastern Time. I will be back late Mon. night.
