releasing...

in 2 days!!  I had mentioned the great news about CHF creating stamps for Saturday Evening Post...these Vintage images are to die for and I have enjoyed working with the first stamp of the collection so much

This all time classic image is called Santa's Knee

SEP-BELIEVE-SANTA-image
and here is how it looks colored with ONE colored pencil

SEP-BELIEVE-SANTA

The label on this wood mount has the image of the actual painting on it, you can use it as a reference to see exactly where shadows and details are. Stamping the image and leaving it alone is certainly beautiful, but there is something about taking that extra time to add some TLC onto your little work of art by adding even more color. Try it...I'd love to know if you feel what I mean

Pink Paislee paper, Prism card stock, Doodlebug Frills (white, colored with a red Copic marker) Scrapworks string, Sonburn chipboard, Ranger Sepia ink and Chestnut Roan chalk Clearsnap ink, Colored pencil is by Prismacolor and the sentiment is from Joyeux Noel stamp set

*Tip I colored from left to right and pressed harder for darker detail and very lightly for the softest touch*

I posted another card using this image in the past seen HERE

My CHF releases are typically the first Thursday of every month...but with CHA just behind us now and?CHF introducing paper...it's delayed...just a touch. My August release is scheduled for Friday, August 15. If anything changes, I will let you know. So, the release will include the MochaChica 8 x 8 paper pack and a mini stamp set that coordinates beautifully with it. I also mentioned my Kissable Tree that was released on August first...this stamp will be on sale through the month of August...it also coordinates with MochaChica papers and stamps...ohhh the possibilities people

*FF Dollar bills are mostly made from cloths* (has no one stepped up to make clothing from money?)

Hope to see you Friday (promise to post 3 projects)

OMG! I love your blog! My favorite part are your fun facts. I also love the art you create. You are such an inspiration as I recently started scrapbooking again. I used to just keep pictures in my computer or I used to throw them into an album. I did 1 scrapbook when my daughter was born, but I let it go for about 4 years and now I am jumping right back into it.

So glad to hear a mini stamp set will also be released with your papers!!!

Fa la la la la la

WOW! What a difference coloring makes! The first image is pretty, but your enhanced, colored image is GORGEOUS! Talk about the wow factor...

Wow Kim this is beautiful! So is the previous posted card! Such a nice soft vintage look-love it!

Okay Kim you have always been one of my stamping heroes, but this is amazing. One pencil -- that could be considered showing off ! Seriously, what you did made such a difference! I really want this stamp. Can't wait to see your mini set. Your tree is already on it's way to me!

you're a genius, kim hughes!

totally amazing - you always take the time to make your projects stand out from others - Love this!

OMG!!! I love them both....WOW!!! Gorgeous Kim!!! The first is so very pretty alone....but that second one is just amazing...You always keep me smiling with your works of art....I LOVE IT!!! HUGS!!!

What an adorable job you did with that stamp! LOVe that you didn't color it all in - the colors worked so well!

Oh Kim that is just beautiful! I've been waiting for this stamp to be released before I made a *cough* sizeable *cough cough* order from CHF. I really cannot wait!

I can't wait for your new release Kim! I have none of your stamp sets yet but love them all - I am going to finally make a nice order to CHF when yours are released!

Congrats!

I LOOOOVED your first sample with this stamp...but this one is GORGEOUS too!! I can not wait to get this stamp (but, I'll admit, I'm afraid my coloring will severely lacking in skill and that I'll be disappointed when my projects don't turn out like 1/2 as wonderful as yours!)

I do BELIEVE !

I love Santa!

Oh, that is such a sweet Santa. I love that image. What a great project. Thanks for sharing.
