Monday's Challenge...
is called a "Designer's Challenge". We were asked to case another CHF DT member and I chose Alli. You are all welcome to play along. There are mountains of inspiration in the CHF GALLERY and please take a look at the other CHF designers that are linked to the right as well. (If they aren't there, you will need to refresh or click on my banner...and they will appear).
I chose this gorgeous card of Alli's for inspiration:
I LOVE the rich colors and she created a beautiful design. I am a sucker for scallops and buttons, so this card really spoke to me.
and here is my card:
I kept the same design principles, but changed many things to make it my own. I used Bold Curls stamp set along with Crate Paper die cut flowers, Glitz and Kaiser bling, Prima ribbon and Prism cardstock. Sentiment is from Nature Silhouettes and ink is Stazon and VersaMagic. I added some hand drawn stems and leaves with a Sakura pen and Prismacolor colored pencils.
*Tip use an orange peel textured cardstock to add a distressed look to stamped images*
*FF In Ohio, A policeman may bite a dog to quiet him. However, the reverse is not true, even if it's a police dog* (cuz that's naturally what we all would do to quiet a dog, right?)
Thank you all for your warm comments yesterday, I really appreciate all of you. I had a very releaxing Mother's Day, I hope you did too :) I watched the Survivor finale last night, and it was great! I wanted Amanda to win, but she did get Ozzy (wonder if that hurt her in the end) It was my favorite Survivor yet. I look forward to the fall season.
