:p

Every time I sit down to make a post, I wish I had something fun to talk about, but I rarely do...I'd take simplicity any day though.

Missyou

The silhouette images are from my Nature Silhouette set that will be available on Thursday, April 3.  "Miss You" is from my Scripty Words set.  I used Basic Grey paper, Autumn Leaves buttons, Brilliance Ink, I have no idea who makes the wide lace and my ever faithful Scrapworks Waxy Flax which I will mourn when it's gone!

*Tip Choose which image you want to be the focal point and ink it with the boldest color*

*FF Hens don't have teeth* (anyone else think that the thought of a hen with teeth is a wicked creepy thought?)

Last call for summer Projects:
We would love to see layouts with the following themes:

o wild about water, pool, lake and beach inspired layouts
o sweet summer treats, watermelon, ice cream and other seasonal delights
o Canada Day and the 4th of July

We are also looking for:

March 29, 2008

quickly checking in

hope you are enjoying yur weekend so far.  :)

100percentclassic

My Mind's Eye papers and journal card, Autumn Leaves button and some Beaux Regards ribbon (can never get tired of a great gingham).  I added the leaf accent to the journal card (stamp found within' the upcoming Nature Silhouette set)  I used chalk ink by Clearsnap to add a little more softness

*Tip use corrugated paper to add a masculine touch...grunge it up by tearing it and showing the flat side (it adds great texture too)*

*FF The leg bones of a bat are so thin that no bat can walk* (I am thinking this is a very good thing...no thanks to sharing a sidewalk with a bat hangin' out strollin' next to me)

huge smiles,

Kim

Missyou

and here is another sneak of my April stamp release:

Bakedwithlove_2

This set is called "Baked With Love"  The sentiment and smaller cupcake are found within this set.  The large cupcake is from my Hugs & Kisses stamp set.  I also used a gingham backgrounder from CHF, soem Beaux Regards ribbon, Provo Craft scalloped scissors and Clearsnap Ink.  I used Core'dinations card stock :)

*Tip when using a backgrounder stamp, stamp a large area and then cut it down....this way you can work around the best stamped area*

*FF There are sweeteners that are about 200000 times sweeter than sugar* (ouch!  My tooth hurts!!)

tooting...

my own horn is not a specialty of mine.  I truely scrap for the enjoyment of it only, but some of my friends said that I should share my good news once and a while and that it's ok.  So...here goes:

CHF is featured in the March Issue of CARDS:

My "sweet thang" stamps were mentioned in the April issue of CK:

and SCT featured my new stamps too in their winter issue:

which brings me to...the Spring Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today is now available online to see.  The paper version made it to stores today as well...I can't wait to get my copy so I can drool on it :) You can see the entire magazine HERE (just click on the purple cover links)  Their summer call is ending on March 30...I will post a reminder again before the deadline

I came across THIS today.  Prima used my handwriting font for their bling alphabets...and for some of their chipboard too.  I have just never seen a store list my name with it...so that was a bit shocking

One more thing...I promise.  I checked out Glitz products one day and found that they used one of my CK fonts for a bling word. go HERE and click on collection...then frosting words...and you will see the word "big".  That's my font!  They must have bought it from Scrap N Fonts which is where the fonts are that I designed for CK a while ago.

k, enough about me...:)

I hope to be back later with a card.  I am working on some samples using my newest April stamp release...sneaks will be posted from tomorrow on...hope you will join me.

March 25, 2008

:)

Sooo, just got my AI on...what a great show it was...I thought any ways.  I honestly don't know who will be going home, even Kristy sounded great!  I am going to guess Jacuzzi though for no reason in particular.  David A can definitely sing (and is probably the best in this competition), but I don't like how I don't have a feel for "his" style of music.  I used to think that he would win it, no doubt...but week after week, I wait for him to show us what "he" can do (like what we would hear if we bought his CD or went to his concert)...not what he can sing...kwim?  Now David Cook...dude...he was amazing tonight!!  I love originality and he definitely has that!  I am very curious what will happen tomorrow night.

1bestfriends

Tim Holtz paper with a decorative edged paper by Making Memories on top.  I used Beaux Regards ribbon with an epoxy sticker by Prima (which now looking at the butterfly, it may need a button on it's body) I used a ticket by Jenni Bowlin, sticker by K & Co and a decorative brad by Making Memories.  A little bit of chalk ink by Clearsnap ages this card just enough.  I kissed the card a bit with a textured harlequin stamp by CHF in pale red ink

*Tip a touch of lace and velvet adds a nice vintage touch*

*FF In Massachusetts: No gorilla is allowed in the back seat of any car* (anyone else have a problem with this?  I guess you are safe from the law if your gorilla is sitting in the front seat...heck, why not let it drive?)

huge hugs coming your way, Kim

allowing

product to do most of the work.

1son

simply a die cut title, patterned paper and transparency leaf accent from My Mind's Eye, some chalk ink and fibers was all that was needed for this card.  Very simple, quick and easy

*Tip use liquid glue to adhere transparency accents

*FF People can't sneeze while sleeping* (let's assume that this is because we would wake up and wouldn't be sleeping anymore?...duh)

Hope you are having a blessed holiday :)

Rejoiceorange
