Happy Halloween

I am looking forward to taking my kids out Trick Or Treating.  They celebrate in a fun way here in UT that I have never heard of until we moved here 2 years ago...they go "trunk or treating".  They go to their church and park their car and hand out candy from the trunk.  It's fun to see that some decorate their cars and really run with it.  Not sure if they trick or treat at night too, but it really is a fun holiday for the kids.

This is a card that I made for Paper Crafts that is being featured this month.  The details are on the site.

Ghoulsnight

*Tip work your entire design around 1 single element (I used the epoxy owl sticker for inspiration)*

Here are the names of my newest stamp sets:

Silhouette Blooms 1 (there is also a second set that will follow)

Holiday Cheer

Sweet Thang (revolves around some "sweet" things)

Tag You're It! (create mini tags with many words to go with them)

Scripty Words (stretched cursive sentiments)

Welcome Hug (revolves around the word "welcome")

more details to come

Have a great holiday!

Nothing new today

I had my yearly Mammogram today which is always a "treat"  LOL :).  I got on a roll and drew a "flourish" stamp set today that I hope will blow you away when you see it.  I think it's VERY different than anything that I have seen.  I don't have any new projects to share today.  I will be busy until Thursday but then I will work on some fun new cards to post.

Here is a card that I made forever ago that was being displayed at a LSS that is now going Internet only.  So, now I can post it:

*Tip add a feminine touch to just about anything just by adding a touch of lace*

*Tip 2 taps ribbon or lace to the back and inside of the card instead of cutting it off*

see you tomorrow, I hope :)

Hello :)

busy, busy over here.  I received word that the next 6 stamp sets will be released on Tuesday, November 6 and will be available at Cornish Heritage Farms.  There is a Christmas set, Silhouette Flowers, Mini Tags, "Sweet" set, "Welcome" set and a script word set.  I will give more details of the exact names and images on November 2, if not before.  :0)

Title: Thank You Teacher

bird stamp (new), "Thank You" is from Cute Curls and the apple is from the Fall Silhouette Stamp set, Making Memories and My Mind's Eye PP, MM stickers

*Tip I am not as concerned about products being acid free when making cards, so I used a piece of paper from a small notebook to add texture*

*Tip 2 use small images to add to flower centers and add an epoxy sticker over it to make it look like it was store bought*

Hope to see you tomorrow.

How Fun!!

I am thrilled to see you all stopping by.  :)  I have a few things that I need to do before Nov. 1st, so I will add all of your links to my blog as soon as I can.  (before Friday for sure) I plan to have plenty of blog candy to give away each month, I have really been enjoying blogging.  I will have some fun Prima goodies, ribbons and of course my stamps to give away too and so much more.  I am having a blast, thank you for joining me.

Here is a layout that I just finished.  I wanted to challenge myself to make some stamp layouts, so that's why I have made the past two.  I am back in card making mode though and plan to play much more today.  My kids are off from school on Mon/Tues, so not sure how much I will get done.

I made a layout!

Ever since I fell in love with card making, I just haven't felt like creating layouts.  I have had an itch lately and I made one today.

Title: Autumn Traditions

I used stamps from my Fall Silhouette Collection along with my owl from Pretty Birds.  Polka dot and houndstooth backgrounders from Cornish Heritage Farms. Patterned papers by Making Memories, Bo Bunny and Basic Grey

*Tip for a solid stamped image, use Color Box Petal Point Inks...they are nice and juicy!*

*Tip 2 add texture by using corrugated paper and tearing the back to reveal a great look*

*Tip 3 make custom buttons by inking the edges of punched circles and adding waxy flax or ribbon to 2 or 4 holes*

*Tip sand the edges to add a thin mat*

Have a fabulous weekend!  Thanks for stopping by :)

a challenge

This morning I made this card for the Splitcoast Challenge to use a mask.

Scsparadise

Title: Paradise

Mask by Heidi Swapp
Weave backgrounder by Cornish Heritage Farms
Palm Tree Stamp from the Summer Fun Collection by Cornish Heritage Farms
Colored Pencils by Around The Block
Brads by Imaginisce
Ink by Clearsnap (chestnut roan)
DP by My Mind's Eye and Dream Street
Sticker by Making Memories

*Tip I applied the weave backgrounder stamp over the mask and before lifting the mask, colored closer to the image with colored pencils.  I then used a Color Box Cat's Eye around the edges and over the image a bit.  Then I sanded over most of the image*

*Tip 2 Apply paper to stamp while the stamp is facing up to press into the grooves*

I added a gallery of my stamps to the left and I will be adding my new stamp when each set releases.  I also plan to have a galery with cards using my stamp sets and another that will display everything else.

I have been thinking that I wish I had some fun things to chat about, but in all honesty, my life is pretty routine.  I take care of my kids before they go to school...Mitchell is 10 and Alayna is 8.  I scrapbook and take care of my house during the day, usually fit in some calls from friends and before I know it, I am going to get them from school.  Then it's time to prepare dinner (I am a terrible cook).  I help them with homework and possibly catch a show or 2 with them.  A lot of times they have friends over or are playing outside, so I usually jump on the computer or hang out with my DH.  Before you know it, the day is over. I wouldn't change a thing.  I like my life simple.  :)

Enjoy your day

xoxo

playin'

I have been a stamping fool today.  Here is one of the cards that I made.  I am hoping to get tons more done so that I can start posting 2-3 cards each day.

Chasmilelolipop

Title: Smile

I used 2 of my new stamp sets (I will fill you in on the names and other images as soon as I can).  Polka Dot and Paisley backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms, Prism CS and The Robin's Nest beads.  The lollipop is heat embossed

*Tip when heat embossing, tap the back of the paper after applying the powder to remove the excess.  Move the heat gun in a circular motion*

*Tip 2 when applying clear beads, use a liquid glue and apply glue to the paper and not the bead*

(hugs)

good day

I received my second release of stamps yesterday.  I had to push them aside to finish 2 new stamp sets that made me see stars *wink wink*

I was able to play today though.  I made 2 cards that can't be seen yet and one that I can post here.  I will use parts of the new sets this week and gradually show you peeks of the newest sets (there are 6)
