ALWAYS-ORNAMENT

and now for the CHF Monday challenge...so sorry, I would have posted this earlier, but I forgot that I signed up to participate.  :)  The challenge is a "Going Green" (recycling) challenge...I chose to use packaging from my Fancy Pants buttons and make it into an ornament.  You may remember a layout that I posted for my friend who was married in February...well, I thought an ornament might be something nice that I could send this Christmas.  So, I made a shadowbox of sorts.  This is a functional keepsake where she could include shells from her wedding maybe.

I stamped the Fine Houndstooth Scrapblock™ onto the white Imaginisce poinsettias and used the sentiment from the Script Essential Expressions stamp set...both by Cornish Heritage Farms.  Hope you play along.  Some of the CHF designers have samples created too...and I hafta say..they are wonderful!!  Please click on the links to the right to see what they are up to.

*Tip use Therm O Web Sticky tape to adhere trims...this ornament has trims along the sides too, it's a simple way to cover an object*

*FF Reindeer's can jump about 8 - 10 feet into the air*

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm baaaack peeps :)

Boy did I miss my blogging friends!  I was able to check my e-mail a couple of times, but laptops are intimidating to me for some reason, so I waited until I got home to jump on the net.  I got in last night and boy did I have a blast at the farm.  It really was a trip that I will always remember.  Liz and Richard were the perfect hosts and made us feel right at home.  Loved waking up to a beautiful day with lots of fun animals to look at and pet.  Feeding them was way cool.  We learned the stamp making process and let me tell you...it was way harder than I thought.  They have a metal plate made, then create another plate, melt the runner onto the plate, peel it off, back it with smart cushion, cut down and package.  We didn't do the whole process, only pressing the rubber, which was very fun!  There are many rooms in their home that hold their inventory.  Here is how my stamps are displayed (minus U R A Hoot set since they are selling so fast....but all they have to do is press more rubber, so everything is always in stock...love that!)
